Dear editor:
Our Laramie County Commissioners had a chance to block a 150’ tall 5G Tower from our beautiful neighborhood, 130 feet from Iron Mountain Road. This scenario involves extended exposure to 5G RF radiation upon individuals.
Below is the first statement of duties mandated to the Laramie County Commissioners, as outlined in their Statement of Purpose 1-1-100 –
1) The purpose of this regulation is to promote the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of Laramie County.
Our Laramie County Commissioners had a chance to block a 150’ tall 5G Tower from our beautiful neighborhood, 130 feet from Iron Mountain Road.
They choose to go for the special interests of Verizon and Rocky Mountain Tower, a California Company. The location is 2409 Iron Mountain Road. This scenario involves extended exposure of individuals to 5G RF radiation.
Here are our issues with their anti-constituent decision.
1) This presents a health risk, especially to the young children, but also all the people living in the area. It appears the studies that counter the negative effects of these towers and RF non-ionizing radiation on people and animals with cancer and other issues, has been funded by governmental organizations and cell tower companies that want to force these towers into places where they want them, without consideration of neighbors.
Dr. Joseph Mercola states – Studies reveal 5G’s potential to induce neurological damage and psychiatric problems, highlighting its effects on brain development, including the increased risk of conditions like dementia through mechanisms such as the impairment of neurosin.
2) If this was the "best" location, why did Verizon attempt to acquire multiple other locations first? (All the other property owners rejected the tower and money, because they did not want to burden their neighbors by ruining their views, depreciating their property values, and especially not wanting to cause harm from the radiation.)
3) There are now 82+ people that want to stop this from happening one selfish couple that want it. Tell me, how do these numbers show that the Commissioners are looking out for and working for their constituents?
4) We all believe that if a tower is really needed, then place it farther north or west, where it is stated to be needed. Place it on County Land, so the County can make the money.
Common sense says to place the tower away from residential areas for safety. This approach ensures that if the property is developed around the tower, potential residents will have an informed choice. We had no choice, we were never asked if we wanted it!
5) It is our opinion that the commissioners had their decision made before the public hearing even started.
There are two choices the commissioners can make - Choose to do the RIGHT THING or choose to do the wrong thing.
Disgustingly, the Laramie County Commissioners chose to make the WRONG Decision without thought or concern for us, their constituents.
Sincerely,
Chris Roth, Laramie County
