President Donald Trump’s jumbo jet remained parked at the Cheyenne Regional Airport on Monday. It’s hard to miss, with a dark blue, red and white body and “TRUMP” printed near the front and a large, waving Ameridan flag on the tail.

The Trump Organization’s Boeing 757-200 dubbed “Trump Force One” landed at the Cheyenne airport sometime around late afternoon to early evening Saturday.

Legend AeroServe, a fixed-based operator at the airport, posted a video on Facebook of the plane landing on the tarmac as well a handful of photos of the aircraft.

People gathered around the outside perimeter of the airport to take photos of the plane over the weekend and Monday morning.

Retired Navy veteran Kevin Willams was one of those stopping to take photos of the plane, climbing up into the bed of his pickup to get an angle over the fence.

“I saw this and had to turn around and come over,” he told Cowboy State Daily. “I had seen something (on social media) about it being here.”

Williams said he’s a big supporter of the president and the Trump family, and that he’s pleased with the policies and executive orders Trump has implemented so far in his first two months in office.

So is Scott Hutchinson, who was visibly excited to see the plane, climbing up into Williams’ pickup to snap some photos of his own.

“Oh yeah, I’m a big fan,” he said.

Asked what advice he’d have for Trump or his family if they were to walk past him to the plane, Hutchinson simply said, “Keep up the good work.”

Cowboy State Daily meteorologist Don Day had a prime view of the 43-seat aircraft from his office tower Monday morning, a much larger than normal commercial aircraft usually seen at the airport.

Although planes this big aren’t typically seen at Cheyenne Regional, Day also said it does happen occasionally when planes are diverted from Denver because of bad weather there.

Day said this is the third time he remembers the Trump plane visiting the airport.

The first two visits, he said, came during Trump’s first term in office. On those visits, the plane was parked directly under his building, and on occasion he got a prime view of Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner walking off the plane.

Where Were They Going?

During those past visits, Ivanka and her husband and Kushner, the former advisor to the president, stayed at the Brush Creek Ranch outside Saratoga.

“It’s my assumption they would do something like that again,” said Cheyenne City Council member Pete Laybourn.

Day said the prior trips also came at a similar time of year.

Karli Miller, director of marketing for Brush Creek Ranch, would neither confirm or deny that members of the Trump family are staying there.

“The privacy and safety of our guests are our top priorities, therefore we do not share any information about our guests,” Miller said.

A staff member at the other luxury resort in the Saratoga area, the Old Baldy Club, confirmed to Cowboy State Daily that no members of the Trump family are staying there now.

Day surmises that the family may be choosing now to stay at Brush Creek since it’s a quieter time of the year for recreation that still offers many snow-bound opportunities like snowmobiling.

“It’s a time of year the number of people out recreating is starting to go down,” he said. “It might coincide with their kid’s spring break, Passover and Easter.”

There is no evidence that Trump himself was on the plane or is staying in Wyoming now. Now that he’s president again, he can fly on one of two presidential jets wherever he pleases. Trump was scheduled to be at the White House on Monday and traveled to his Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey on Sunday on Air Force One.

Day also remembered presidential candidate and former first lady Hillary Clinton parking her plane in Cheyenne during her 2016 campaign and former President Barack Obama doing the same with one of his campaigns in the past.

The Plane

According to the Trump Corp. website, the 757 is “the crown jewel in the Trump Fleet” and “one of the most famous private jets in the world.” The aircraft is powered by Rolls Royce engines and can fly up to eight hours uninterrupted within a 3,000-mile range.

The Trump 757 has been entirely customized and features Italian leather seats embroidered with the Trump family crest, 24-karat gold plated accents, two private guestrooms, three bathrooms, dining and conference areas and an extensive entertainment system that rivals any private theater.

It’s the same plane that was diverted due to a mechanical issue to Billings, Montana, while Trump was on his way to a rally in Bozeman last summer.

Using a large jet like the 757 is not the most efficient way to travel privately. According to Business Insider, the jet burned through $2.6 million in fuel from 2023 to 2024.

However, the sheer presence and drama of arriving at a destination in a VIP airliner is undeniable and became a hallmark of his 2024 presidential campaign.

Trump acquired the 757, registered as N757AF, from the late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen in 2010 to replace his older Boeing 727.

N757AF was originally delivered to the defunct Danish low-cost carrier Sterling Airlines in May 1991. It also briefly flew for the defunct Mexican airline TAESA before Allen picked it up in 1995.
