Dear editor:
I’m a geezer, been driving for more years than I care to disclose. License plates have never been a big deal, just another annoying expense.
There have been some unattractive ones, many were plain, and some had odd colors. But none were so ugly as to compel a letter to an editor.
These new plates are repulsive.
If the legislature wishes to make a new law with respect to vehicle plates, the best thing they could do would be to make a one-time exception to the 8-year rule and replace the 2025 plates immediately, before another vehicle is desecrated with such an appendage.
Though my vehicles are not yet due for these eyesores, I dread the embarrassment of out of state travel when that is necessary.
And to add insult to injury, we have to pay the state for this humiliation!
Sincerely,
Dennis Biteman, Sheridan
