When a truck collision turned into a three-man fight Saturday at “The Pits,” a bonfire party spot outside Reliance, the girlfriend of one of the brawlers shot the other two, court documents allege.

Addisyn Rain Marie Fisher, 16 of Rock Springs, is charged as an adult in Rock Springs Circuit Court with two counts of aggravated assault. Each count carries a maximum penalty of up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

Investigators were called to the Pits at about 20 minutes after midnight, says an evidentiary affidavit complied by Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Detective Matthew Wharton.

Two men were already at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County - one with a gunshot wound in his neck or jaw area, and another who’d been shot through the hand, says the document.

Wharton made it to the hospital 11 minutes before 1 a.m. There he met other deputies and a Rock Springs Police Department Officer who had been taking statements from witnesses gathered at the hospital.

One female witness, a young woman, told a deputy that while she and a teenage girl rode along in a man’s truck on the way to the bonfire, Fisher’s boyfriend chased them down in his own truck and rammed into them.

Another man “was pissed off” by this. He and the man whose truck had been struck fought with Fisher’s boyfriend, says the document.

Standing about 20 feet away, Fisher shot a 9 mm gun, two or three times, at the two men fighting her boyfriend, the witness said.

Next Witness

A 17-year-old girl was also interviewed, who said she remembered Fisher’s boyfriend speeding at them in his truck as she rode along with the male driver and the other witness.

The driver sped up so his truck wouldn’t be damaged, the girl recalled.

Once they arrived at the bonfire, Fisher’s boyfriend drove down the hill and bumped into the back of the man’s truck, causing it to roll forward. Then Fisher’s boyfriend backed up, revved his truck and sped up the hill, angling his headlights toward the bonfire, the witness said.

The witness said Fisher got out of the truck and stood on top of the hill.

The girl heard a gunshot from behind her, and a bullet whizzed past her ear, she said.

The girl told investigators she believed a male she didn’t recognize had fired the shot after yelling something, says the document.

That’s when the fight broke out, she added.

One man pinned Fisher’s boyfriend down while the man with the stricken truck punched him repeatedly, the affidavit says.

Citing the witness’ account, the document says Fisher walked around her boyfriend’s truck, pointed the gun at the two men who were beating her boyfriend and fired two shots, striking both of them.

One man held his face while saying that he’d been shot. Fisher said nothing, the witness said.

The Man With The Stricken Truck

The man whose truck had been hit was shot through the hand, says the affidavit. The other man was shot in the neck area, it adds.

Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Detective Ashley Merrell interviewed the man whose truck had been hit.

He told her Fisher’s boyfriend had been driving recklessly and trying to crash into him, until he did rear-end his truck.

When the three men met face-to-face outside their vehicles, Fisher’s boyfriend took a swing at the third man, who slammed him to the ground and pinned him there, the affidavit says.

The man with the damaged truck said he was planning to break up the fight.

He noticed Fisher in the corner of his eye and watched her reach for something, the affidavit says. But then he heard the gunshot and felt the projectile go through his hand. He heard a second, then a third shot, he said.

People helped get the third man to the truck.

Fisher and her boyfriend left the scene, with the gun still in Fisher’s hand, the affidavit says.

Fisher was arrested without incident Monday in the late afternoon or early evening, Sheriff’s spokesman Jason Mower said, adding that she had also appeared in court and had posted a cash or surety bond of $50,000.

Fisher’s attorney Nathan Jeppsen did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
