Wyoming House District 28 went to incumbent Republican John Winter, who handily beat Democratic challenger Larry Alwin.
Winter won with nearly 75% support from voters.
“I'm trying to make Wyoming the conservative state that we all think it should be,” Winter said during the primary election. “This is supposed to be a conservative state, and there's too many liberal minded people in Cheyenne.
“I’m against the spending sprees that go on down there that just really affect how this state is managed, and it just really bothers me that we spend too much money in the wrong areas, especially so right now.”
Alwin said he was a moderate who ran to create unity in Wyoming.
