An Oregon-based company that markets itself as having “a passion for protein” is recalling about 12 million pounds of prepared poultry products under a host of brand names that may be contaminated with listeria.
The BrucePac nationwide recall includes at least nine brands known to be in Wyoming, the Wyoming Department of Agriculture announced Thursday, including the popular Walmart Great Value brand. Those are:
• Great Value frozen meals with chicken.
• Various Taylor Farms salads containing chicken.
• Member’s Mark Chicken Alfredo.
• Member’s Mark Hatch Chile Chicken Enchilada Club.

Listeria Is Bad News
Listeria can be fatal and is the third leading cause of death from foodborne sources in America, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
It can cause fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance and convulsions, at times preceded by diarrhea or other symptoms, the Wyoming Department of Ag reports.
If you have any of the listed products or believe you may have something on the recall list, return it to the store you bought it or dispose of it safely.
