Dear editor:
It is heartbreaking, and just plain wrong.
When I was a teenager in the 80's one of the groups that made a lot of noise about grouse was "Friends of the Bow." I wonder where they are now?
As one drives across the top of that plateau and sees nothing but wind turbines.
What used to be a beautiful drive across an expanse of high desert wilderness is now almost seeming a drive through white towers hoisting up giant bird killing whirlygigs.
Gone is the beauty. The serine tranquility of vastness is gone.
Now we see that more are going up just to the south and west of Midwest as well.
Are we going to destroy all of Wyoming's vast open spaces with these tombstone monoliths?
Just to grab some tax payer money and grift off of the great green energy scam?
Next will be solar panels from Buffalo to Encampment...
Sincerely,
Richard Nielsen, Gillette
