A new line of watches gaining international attention for its support of former President Donald Trump originate in Wyoming.
The gold and silver watches are registered to a company called TheBestWatchesOnEarth LLC. According to its filing with the Wyoming Secretary of State’s office, the company is located at 1309 Coffeen Ave. in Sheridan.
This is an address associated with Wyoming LLC Attorney, a company that helps clients register limited liability companies in Wyoming. Sheridan is home to a variety of shell corporations and anonymous mailing services.
Wyoming has some of the most opaque LLC and trust laws in the country, leading to numerous cases of suspected fraud in recent years. Wyoming trust laws allow anyone to anonymously register an LLC for about $100.
Andrew Pierce is listed as the organizer of Trump Watches. According to his bio on the Wyoming LLC Attorney website, he's “a Caribbean business developer” who “learned the hard way the importance of correct business structuring.”
Pierce was not immediately available for comment.
The company was registered by Cloud Peak Law, also of Sheridan, which appears to be an alternate name for the Wyoming LLC Attorney company.
Wyoming law allows registered agents like Pierce to serve as the public point of contact for LLCs to keep their ownership anonymous.
Pierce was also the registered agent for 45Footwear LLC, a Wyoming-registered company that sold a limited-edition line of shiny gold high-tops called Trump Sneakers this spring. It’s unknown if the two efforts are connected.
What About The Watches?
The Trump watches range from $499-$100,000 in price, coming in a variety of color schemes.
According to the TheBestWatchesOnEarth website, although they are the “only official watches offered by President Trump,” none of the proceeds from their sales go to his ongoing presidential campaign and are not being sold by Trump or anyone directly associated with him.
“TheBestWatchesonEarth LLC uses the ‘Trump’ name, image and likeness under a license agreement which may be terminated or revoked according to its terms,” the website reads. “Trump Watches are intended as collectible items for individual enjoyment only, not for investment purposes.”
Some of the more extravagant timepieces contain nearly 200 grams of 18-carat gold and 122 diamonds.
“I love gold, we all do,” Trump says in a marketing video on the website.
The most expensive watches are in the Victory Tourbillon line, which run $100,000 each. Only 147 of these will be sold.
Stocking Stuffers
The more budget conscious watches, running $499-$799, are in the “Fighter” line, all emblazoned with the classic Trump logo and his signature across the face of the watch.
The “Fight Fight Fight” model can handle water pressure up to 330 feet and has an artist’s rendering of the infamous fist pose he struck after dodging an assassination attempt in July.
All of the watches claim to be “Swiss made” and would make a “great Christmas gift.”
They’re also non-returnable and won’t start shipping until later this fall.
