Letter To The Editor: Hey Cowboy State Daily -- Don't Get Too Fancy

Dear editor,

I just wanted to give a little bit of feedback on The [Cowboy State] Daily News program that I watch every morning.

I watch every morning and have since I left Wyoming for healthcare reasons. Watching helps me reaffirm my goal of getting back to the Riverton area.

Switching from YouTube to Vimeo(sp) took some getting used to. I still prefer YouTube but this new platform is fine.

What I'm having a challenge with is the new format. The blank backgrounds and the large boom mic set up in front of the reporters, their choice of attire has changed , and their overall demeanor seems to have shifted.

I like the at home background shots, I like the in the car blurred background shots, I like the folks wearing old sweaters, ball caps, branded t-shirts and the casual feel to how the old format was.

This new format is very clinical, in that it seems very sterile and plain.

I provide this feedback with the hopes that you'll take it into consideration to return to the style of format that was previously being used, even if that wasn't really a format and it was just ad hoc.

Regards,

Zach Summers

Editor's note: Our daily news program is very much in a beta phase. We are trying new things all the time. We appreciate your feedback. The more feedback we get, the better. Thank you for watching.
