Dear editor:
Rep Jeanette Ward’s recent guest column about her daughter leaving the nursing program because she didn’t want to take a Covid test illustrates the absurdity of the anti-Vax, anti-science and fear mongering in today’s political environment.
If I visit my doctor or hospital, I don’t want to get infected with Covid (again) and there is no harm or material inconvenience associated with taking a very simple and effective PCR test.
We certainly don’t need anti-science, self-centered individuals like Rep Ward’s daughter in the healthcare profession.
If she had Covid and infected a vulnerable patient who later died, that's a real tragedy. Perhaps she should inject some bleach and study another subject.
