Dear editor:
Where there's smoke, there's fire.
The Wyoming Republican Party Leadership, Secretary of State Chuck Gray, and the Wyoming Freedom Caucus (far right) want us, the citizens of the great state of Wyoming, to believe that our 23 county clerks -- who oversee our elections -- are bad. evil people out to steal our elections.
First, they pick a county to attack Laramie County (the smoke) then Chuck sends out a letter to all 23 counties (the fire) demanding that they all check their voting machines again a week before the election.
When in reality, we are all just enjoying a Sunday afternoon BBQ after church.
I have always admired our county clerks who oversee our elections. They all have a heavy lift at election time, they must count on lots of good caring dedicated volunteers along with their election staff so that Wyoming can hold honest fair elections.
The fact that our Secretary of State Chuck Gray and the rest of the far right try to vilify our county clerks for political gain is beyond disgusting.
Full discloser: I am a Reagan Republican. President Reagan was the first president I was able to vote for he was and is considered a conservative but in today’s political climate in Wyoming President Reagan would along with me and all my fellow Reagan Republicans would be considered a RINOs by the Far Right.
One of the things I admired most about President Reagan was that he had compassion something that Wyoming far right doesn’t.
Sincerely,
Brad Cundy
