Dear editor:
Your 8 August cartoon suggests that Communist China supports the Harris/Walz ticket.
The Biden/Harris administration said on multiple occasions that it would use U.S. troops to defend Taiwan, a position more hawkish than required by U.S. policy and one that I myself consider unwise.
VP candidate Tim Walz visited China multiple times, organized tours to that country, and is an asset in a future administration because of his China knowledge.
As a Congressman, Walz strongly criticized China's human rights record multiple times and stood for human rights in China and elsewhere.
Harris and Walz are certainly not soft on China.
If you want to criticize the Democratic ticket, wouldn't it be better to find truthful ways to do so?
