Letter To The Editor: Signs Do Not Stop School Shootings

Dear editor: The&nbsp;letter&nbsp;to the editor regarding the disbanding of school "gun free zones" and senate bill S.2070  The "Gun Free School Zone Act" was passed in 1990.&nbsp;  Since 1990 there have been over 800 incidents resulting in 1,069 injuries and 519 fatalities according to School Board Ballotpedia.&nbsp;  Signs and rules at schools do not stop shootings.&nbsp;Never have, never will.&nbsp;  This was a "feel good" piece of legislation that only created a false sense of safety and limited personal liberties and personal protection.&nbsp;  Bad people still do bad things.
