Regarding "Hunter Says Don't Listen To The Critics: "Prairie Dogs Are Good To Eat!" on Oct. 9, 2023.
Mr. Jasmer must have used a lot of “zesty Italian marinade”.
I have had prairie dog; we had a prairie dog town in the north pasture that bordered a neighbor’s pasture.
We would have to thin out the prairie dogs so they wouldn’t get too troublesome.
Out of curiosity, Mom cooked up one and we ate it. Never again will I eat another prairie dog.
Disgusting! Vile, even.
I enjoy wild game, but I draw the line at prairie dogs. Greasy, and the taste…! Ugh!
