Don Day Wyoming Weather Forecast:  Friday, October 6, 2023  

Early morning frost in much of Wyoming.  Sunny during the day Friday. Highs in the 50s and 60s, 40s in the northeast.

Central:  

Casper:  Look for areas of frost between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. today and after 2 a.m. overnight.  There’s a freeze watch in effect from 2 a.m. Saturday until 10 a.m.  It should gradually become sunny today with a high near 58 and be mostly clear overnight with a low around 32.  

Riverton:  Expect it to be cloudy in the morning then clear today with a high near 60 and be mostly clear overnight with the low around 29. Watch for widespread frost mainly after 4 a.m. overnight.  There’s a freeze watch in effect from 2 a.m. Saturday until 10 a.m.  

Glenrock There should be areas of frost before 10 a.m. today and widespread frost mainly after 3 a.m. overnight with a freeze warning in effect from midnight until Saturday at 8 a.m. Otherwise, it should be mostly cloudy, becoming sunny today with a high near 54 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 28.  

Southwest:  

Evanston Expect it to be sunny today with a high today near 61 and clear overnight with a low near 34.  

Rock Springs:   Look for patchy frost before 9 a.m. today and widespread frost after 3 a.m. overnight.  It should be sunny today with a high near 61 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 31.  

South Pass It should be sunny today with a high near 54 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 33.  Watch for areas of frost after 3 a.m. overnight.

Western Wyoming:  

Pinedale:  There should be areas of frost before 9 a.m. today and widespread frost mainly after 1 a.m. overnight.  Look for it to besunny today with a high near 57 and mostly clear overnight with a low around 25.  

Alpine:  Expect patchy frost before 9 a.m. today and areas of frost after 3 a.m. overnight.  It should be sunny today with a high near 66 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 32.  

Big Piney:  Look for widespread frost mainly before 8 a.m. today and mainly after midnight tonight.  It should be sunny today with a high near 60 and mostly clear overnight with a low around 21.  

Northwest:  

Dubois:  Watch for patchy frost before 10 a.m. today and widespread frost mainly after 3 a.m. overnight.  There’s a freeze watch in effect from 2 a.m. until 10 a.m. Saturday.  It should be mostly sunny and breezy today with a high near 57 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 32.  Winds could gust to 21 mph during the day and 20 mph overnight.  

Jackson:  There should be patchy frost before 9 a.m. today and widespread frost mainly after 3 a.m. overnight.  It should be sunny today with a high near 65 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 30.  

Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park:  Expect widespread frost mainly before 8 a.m. today and after midnight tonight. Otherwise, it should be sunny today with a high near 60 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 25.  

Bighorn Basin:  

Thermopolis Look for it to gradually become sunny today with a high near 60 and it should be mostly clear overnight with a low near 35.  There’s a freeze watch in effect from 2 a.m. Saturday until 10 a.m.

Cody: Watch for areas of frost between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m., otherwise it should be sunny today with a high near 59 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 38.  

Powell:  There should be areas of frost between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. today and after 2 a.m. overnight.  There’s a freeze watch in effect from 2 a.m. Saturday until 10 a.m. Saturday.  Otherwise, it should be sunny today with a high near 59 and be mostly clear overnight with a low near 34.  

North Central:  

Buffalo:  Look for widespread frost between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. today.  It should be sunny today with a high near 52 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 36.  There’s a freeze watch in effect from 2 a.m. Saturday until 10 a.m. Saturday. 

Sheridan:  Expect it to be sunny today with a high near 56 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 33.  

Clearmont:  It should be sunny today with a high near 55 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 31.  

Northeast:  

Gillette:  Watch for areas of frost before 8 a.m. today and after 1 a.m. overnight.  It should be sunny today with a high near 49 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 32.  Winds could gust as high as 25 mph during the day.  There’s a freeze watch in effect from 11 p.m. tonight until 8 a.m. Saturday.  

Sundance:  It should be sunny today with a high near 43 and clear overnight with a low near 31.  Winds could gust as high as 22 mph during the day.    

Upton:  Expect areas of frost before 8 a.m. today and after 1 a.m. overnight.  Otherwise, it should be sunny today with a high near 48 and clear overnight with a low near 28.  Winds could gust as high as 30 mph during the day.  There’s a freeze watch in effect from 11 p.m. tonight until 8 a.m. Saturday.  

Eastern Plains:  

Torrington:  It should be breezy and gradually become sunny today with a high near 54 and be clear overnight with a low near 25.  Winds could gust as high as 30 mph during the day.  Watch for widespread frost mainly after 3 a.m. overnight.  There’s a freeze warning in effect from midnight tonight until 8 a.m. Saturday. 

Douglas:  Expect areas of frost before 10 a.m. today and widespread frost mainly after 3 a.m. overnight.  It should be mostly cloudy through mid morning today then clear with a high near 54 and be mostly clear overnight with a low near 27.  Winds could gust as high as 25 mph during the day.  There’s a freeze warning in effect from midnight tonight until 8 a.m. Saturday.     

Midwest:  Look for it to gradually become sunny today with a high near 56 and be mostly clear overnight with a low near 32.  Watch for widespread frost mainly after 3 a.m. overnight.  There’s a freeze watch in effect from 2 a.m. Saturday until 10 a.m. Saturday.    

Southeast:  

Cheyenne:  It should be mostly sunny today with a high near 53 and clear overnight with a low near 28.  Expect widespread frost mainly after 3 a.m. overnight.  Winds could gust to 25 mph during the day.  There’s a freeze warning in effect from midnight tonight until 8 a.m. Saturday.  

Laramie:  Look for it to gradually become sunny today with a high near 54 and be mostly clear overnight with a low near 26.  Watch for widespread frost mainly after 2 a.m. overnight.  There’s a freeze warning in effect from midnight tonight until 8 a.m. Saturday.    

Medicine Bow:  It should be mostly sunny today with a high near 55 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 24.  There should be widespread frost mainly after 3 a.m. overnight.    

South Central:  

Rawlins:  Expect it to be mostly sunny today with a high near 55 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 30.  Watch for widespread frost after 4 a.m. overnight.

Encampment:  It should be sunny today with a high near 57 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 28.  Look for widespread frost between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. overnight.  

Baggs:  Look for it to be sunny today with a high near 61 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 25.  There should be widespread frost mainly after 2 a.m. overnight.
