Good morning, and welcome to Cowboy State Daily radio news for Saturday, September 30th, 2023!

A wild shooting happened Thursday on the Wind River Indian Reservation. After being shot multiple times, the victim posted numerous videos of himself describing what happened.

With a federal government shutdown looming after Saturday, Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks in Wyoming could be all but shuttered up starting Monday.

Had it not been for the perfectly timed appearance of Cheyenne police officers, a young mother and her toddler might have found themselves in real danger after a deranged man chased them in Holliday Park Thursday.

A grizzly expert told Cowboy State Daily that sleeping on the ground in the thick of grizzly country can be safer than sleeping in a campground because you don't know if previous campers were slobs about leaving food or garbage out.

And no, you can't kick people out of Yellowstone National Park when you want to have a private wedding there. That's what one couple tried to do.
