Former University of Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen has a new place to call home that will allow the NFL superstar to soak up plenty of sun and play a lot of golf.

The Buffalo Bills signal-caller has bought a 2,800-square-foot home in Southern California with access to the beach and an exclusive golf club, the Orange County Register reports.

He reportedly bought the single-story beach house July 5 for $7.2 million. Real estate listings show the home in the Monarch Bay gated community in Dana Point, California, features four bedrooms, three baths, floor-to-ceiling glass walls and a large backyard with a half basketball court.

The exclusive community also has a members-only club with a golf course. Allen is known to be an avid golfer.

Allen, 27, is considered one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL and inked a six-year, $258 million contract extension that will keep him in Buffalo at least through 2028.

What Could $7.2 Million Buy In Wyoming?

Outside of Teton County, where some homes and properties sell for tens of millions of dollars, what could Allen’s $7.2 million buy in the Cowboy State?

Seems like it would be quite a lot; however, none would be oceanside with beach access and the golfing is limited compared to Southern California.

According to real estate website Zillow, as of January the top 10 Wyoming communities by typical home price are:

·      Banner: $485,466

·      Aladdin: $501,852

·      Cora: $512,309

·      Clearmont: $538,216

·      Parkman: $584,611

·      Alpine: $677,854

·      Moran: $1.178 million

·      Alta: $1.214 million

·      Jackson: $1.532 million

·      Wilson: $2.041 million

These are prices for buying what’s considered a “typical” home for those communities, not an average price.

Still Loved In Wyoming

Allen remains a fan favorite in Wyoming after a stellar college career at the University of Wyoming in Laramie.

He was drafted No. 7 overall by the Buffalo Bills in 2018, becoming the highest UW NFL draft pick ever.

The 6-foot-5, 237-pound quarterback has thrown for nearly 18,400 yards in his five seasons as a pro, with 138 touchdowns and 60 interceptions. He’s also rushed for 3,087 yards and 38 TDs on the ground.

It was recently announced that Allen would be on the cover of the mega-hit “Madden” video game franchise, “Madden 24.”

While he plays in Buffalo and now has a home in Southern California, Allen frequently speaks highly of Wyoming and of his time with UW.

When UW played Ohio University in the Arizona Bowl after this past season, Allen was a halftime guest of the Barstool Sports announcing team and spoke highly of Wyoming.
