Accused of causing a 12-year-old girl to make child pornography, taking secret cellphone videos of women in the restroom of a Jackson bar and raping a child at least 100 times, a Jackson man faces up to 144 years in prison if convicted.
German Estuardo Guerra Saban, 36, commonly known as German Guerra, was arraigned Friday in Teton County District Court. His court file does not yet show how he pleaded, and the Teton County Attorney’s Office declined to comment.
The charges against Guerra include one count of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl more than 100 times over the course of a year, 14 voyeurism charges and two counts of sexual exploitation of children for allegedly making porn with a child who was 12 at the time.
Leather Belt Lashings
Jackson Police Department agents arrested Guerra Dec. 30, 2022, after a young girl’s parents found Guerra’s phone and discovered nude photos of the girl on it.
The girl said Guerra had sex with her about 100 times that year and that when she wouldn’t sleep with him, he whipped her with a leather belt with a metal buckle to the point she was unable to sit straight, according to an affidavit filed in Teton County District Court on March 16.
Guerra also would show pornography to the girl, she reportedly told police.
‘Wouldn’t Be Right’
When police officers confronted Guerra about the girl’s statements, he said he’d bought her a personal sex toy and they’d talked about having sex but decided against it because “it would not be right,” the affidavit relates.
The affidavit alleges that Guerra then said if he did have sex with the girl, it was while he was drunk and he didn’t remember it.
Going To The Bathroom
Also while at the police station, the document says Guerra was reportedly deleting pictures and videos from his phone until police officers stopped him.
Authorities obtained a search warrant for his phone, and they found numerous videos that appeared to be products of voyeurism. There were 11 unidentified victims depicted in videos while going to the bathroom at the Cowboy Bar last May, the affidavit alleges.
“None of the victims appeared to know they were being filmed,” wrote Jackson Police Department Detective John Ware in the affidavit.
In at least one of the videos, Guerra’s face appears just before the filming stops, the document says.
Police allege they found another video taken discreetly from an unknown location of a pregnant woman in her underwear rubbing her pregnant belly.
Child Pornography
The phone search also revealed what police believe is child pornography.
The affidavit alleges that Guerra’s phone contained a video of a girl, about 12, masturbating while a man approached her with a condom on his erect penis. The room furnishings resemble Guerra’s home, the document says.
Investigators found five more videos they believe to be Guerra and the girl having sexual intercourse, oral sex and engaging in other sexual conduct, the affidavit says.
