The price of gas in Wyoming increased by 1 cent on Wednesday over the previous 24 hours to average $4.30, continuing a daily trend of records being set for the price of gas in the state.

The website GasBuddy.com, which tracks national gas prices, reported Wyoming’s average gas price was up 3.2 cents per gallon over a week ago and was up by $1.29 per gallon from one year ago.

Wyoming’s average price for gasoline remained below the national average of $4.60 for a gallon of regular, which was unchanged from Tuesday.

High and Low Prices:

The highest gasoline price in Wyoming on Wednesday was in Jackson at $5.18 per gallon. The lowest price, $3.98 per gallon, was found at the Maverik station at 1301 Third St. in Laramie at $3.98 per gallon.

The county with the highest average price was Teton at $4.67 per gallon. The county with the lowest average, and the only county in the state with an average of less than $4.00, is Albany at $3.96. These are the highest and lowest reported prices among those stationed surveyed. 

Today’s Big Movers:

Carbon and Platte counties were up 11 cents; Albany and Converse counties were down 6 cents, and Sublette County was down 16 cents.

Tim’s Observations:

Quick observation today. Wyoming continued its almost daily trend of setting gasoline price records with an average of $4.30 on Wednesday. This is two days ahead of what I predicted on Friday.
