Today’s Wyoming sunrise was taken at the crossroads of Highways 259 and 387 in Midwest, Wyoming by author Phil LeMaitre (who used it as the cover for his novel “Early Dawn”).

Phil writes: “The iconic steel oil derrick is one of the more famous landmarks in the Salt Creek community, and I ceased the opportunity to capture it 30 minutes before sunrise. The photo also became the cover of my third novel ‘Early Dawn,’ which is a part of a fictional series set in my hometown of Midwest and twin Edgerton.”

We feature a different Wyoming sunrise every morning.
