621 New Coronavirus Cases In Wyoming Wednesday; 157 Recoveries; 4,153 Active

The state reported 621 new laboratory-confirmed and 250 new probable cases, leaving Wyoming with 4,153 active cases for Wednesday.

Wyoming’s active coronavirus case total increased by 714 on Wednesday.

Wyoming Department of Health received reports of 157 recoveries among those with confirmed or probable cases. 

At the same time, the state reported 621 new laboratory-confirmed and 250 new probable cases, leaving Wyoming with 4,153 active cases for Wednesday. 

Thirteen counties have more than 100 active cases, with seven having more than 200. Natrona County’s active case count increased by 184, to total 756; Laramie County had 449; Campbell had 369; Sweetwater 282; Fremont 276; Uinta 263; Sheridan 247; Lincoln 177; Teton 166; Albany 164; Park 159; Converse 148; Hot Springs 133; Platte 99; Johnson 92; Goshen 85; Carbon 71; Washakie 53; Crook 42; Big Horn and Weston 36; Sublette had 31, and Niobrara had 19.

Active cases are determined by adding the total confirmed and probable coronavirus cases diagnosed since the illness first surfaced in Wyoming on March 12, 2020, subtracting the number of recoveries during the same period among patients with both confirmed and probable cases and taking into account the number of deaths attributed to the illness.

 The new confirmed and probable cases brought to 76,007 the number of people diagnosed with coronavirus since the first case was detected in Wyoming in March 2020. Of those, 70,996 have recovered.
