Wyoming’s active coronavirus cases increased by 16 on Tuesday.
Wyoming Department of Health figures showed that the department received reports of 41 new recoveries among those with confirmed or probable cases.
At the same time, the state reported 50 new laboratory-confirmed and 4 new probable cases, leaving Wyoming with 445 active cases, up 26 from Monday
Laramie County tops the number of active cases today, with 95; Fremont had 63; Teton 58; Sweetwater 53; Lincoln 27; Uinta 26; Natrona 20; Campbell 16; Park 13; Albany and Carbon 12; Sheridan 10; Goshen and Sublette eight; Bighorn seven; Converse five; Crook and Johnson three; Hot Springs, Platte and Weston two; and Niobrara and Washakie had the least number of active cases with zero.
Active cases are determined by adding the total confirmed and probable coronavirus cases diagnosed since the illness first surfaced in Wyoming on March 12, 2020, subtracting the number of recoveries during the same period among patients with both confirmed and probable cases and taking into account the number of deaths attributed to the illness.
The new confirmed and probable cases brought to 55,799 the number of people diagnosed with coronavirus since the first case was detected in Wyoming in March 2020.
Of those, 54,659 have recovered.
