Wyoming’s active coronavirus cases increased by 10 on Friday as the state’s reported the recoveries exceeded the new cases

Wyoming Department of Health figures showed that the department received new reports of 69 recoveries among those with confirmed or probable cases Friday

At the same time, the state reported 69 new laboratory-confirmed and 10 new probable cases, leaving Wyoming with 532 active cases, a increase of 10 from Thursday.

Sweetwater had 84 cases; Laramie 77; Teton 70; Uinta 45; Natrona 44; Fremont 41; Carbon 37; Lincoln 25; Park 20; Campbell 19; Sheridan 18; Albany 16; Platte 11; Goshen seven; Bit Horn five; Sublette and Washakie three each; Johnson and Weston two each; Converse and Hot Springs one each, and Niobrara reports zero cases.

Active cases are determined by adding the total confirmed and probable coronavirus cases diagnosed since the illness first surfaced in Wyoming on March 12, 2020, subtracting the number of recoveries during the same period among patients with both confirmed and probable cases and taking into account the number of deaths attributed to the illness.

The new confirmed and probable cases brought to 54,764 the number of people diagnosed with coronavirus since the first case was detected in Wyoming in March 2020.

Of those, 53,550 have recovered.
