Deaths among Wyoming residents are added to the state’s total based on official death certificate information and location of permanent residence.

If death certificates do not describe the coronavirus as either causing or contributing to a person’s death, those deaths are not included in Wyoming’s count. Deaths are not counted in more than one state.

Among Wyoming residents, there have now been 280 coronavirus-related deaths, 32,196 lab-confirmed cases and 4,789 probable cases reported since the pandemic began.

With Niobrara County seeing its first death, now every one of the state’s 23 counties has had at least one victim of the coronavirus.
