The old saying goes “necessity is the mother of invention.”

So credit Wyoming movie chain WyoMovies with coming up with a pretty good idea.

Because of social distancing restrictions, the organization came up with the idea of private moving screenings from June 19 – July 16.

They offer packages where 20, 30, or 40 guests can rent the entire theatre and watch classic movies on the big screen.

Plus, they’ll throw-in medium drinks and medium popcorns.

The price?  Not bad. $325 for 20 guests.

As for the movie titles available, it’s not bad but there’s no RoadHouse, Point Break, Die Hard, Stripes, Godfather, Old School, or The Hangover.

Instead, the titles are a bit more safe (and boring).

From June 16 – June 30, they offer: Raiders of the Lost Ark, Goonies, Grease, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

From June 23 – July 2, they offer:  Raiders of the Lost Ark, Goonies, Grease, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Space Jam, Jurassic Park, Dirty Dancing, and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

That’s not to say these are bad movies but our list is preferable and while we’re at it we need to add Animal House and any of the Mad Max installments to what-should-be mandatory offerings.

Here’s hoping they reach out to us to determine the movies from July 9 – July 16.
