At first glance, Cross Creek Ranch looks as though it’s been lifted from a high-end mountain enclave in Jackson Hole. But the range behind this log cabin mansion is not the Tetons.
It’s the Snowy Range.
The 372-acre spread, just southwest of the unincorporated community of Centennial, doesn’t come to market often, Cheyenne listing agent Cody Harvey told Cowboy State Daily. Harvey is with Harvey Home Team, brokered by Compass Real Estate.
The ranch and its mountain views are listed for $7.7 million. A comparable log cabin mansion in Jackson Hole would run roughly $30 million, Harvey said.
“There are beautiful homes in Centennial,” he added. “But with this acreage and having a sub-irrigated meadow … It’s beyond special.”
Harvey considers it a legacy holding, the kind that comes around maybe once in a generation.
Cross Creek Ranch has been quietly available for several years, he said. But it is just now being publicly marketed.
“Most ranch brokers don’t publicly market homes,” he said. “They’re very quiet listings.”
Interest is coming from all over the world, Harvey added, though a nondisclosure agreement kept him from naming the countries.

About the Home
The 6,080-square-foot mansion was built in 1993 by Steamboat Springs, Colorado, architect Joe P. Robbins in the Swedish cope style.
In that style, full round logs are scribed with a half-moon groove along the bottom of each log, so each fits snugly over the log below. The curved overlap helps seal high-elevation homes against heavier snow and wind.
Robbins is well-known in architectural circles for his philosophy of blending natural site conditions with practical needs, creating luxury homes that feel deeply integrated with their landscapes.
Cross Creek Ranch sits where its occupants cannot see any neighbors for miles around. The three-bedroom mansion also rises dramatically from the hillside, spanning about 86 feet from its highest to its lowest point, Harvey said.
The privacy doesn’t come at the expense of the view. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the sunken great room capture an unobstructed look at the Snowy Range and the Centennial Valley.
Harvey was impressed with how well the home has been maintained through the decades, as well as with the property’s abundant wildlife.
He has several videos of deer walking by and foxes playing in the irrigated meadow, which he’s quick to pull out and show when asked what he likes best about the property.
“I love the little foxes,” Harvey said, beaming. “This has definitely been one where we’ve seen some really cool stuff whenever we’re up there showing the ranch — we’ve had lots of interest in it.”

A Working Ranch
Of the ranch’s 372 acres, about 150 are irrigated or sub-irrigated meadow. That’s not strictly ornamental. The meadow supports about 80 cow-calf pairs.
That gives the property a working-ranch component suitable for the buyer who wants horses and a small cattle herd, hay production, or simply the open-space character of meadowland.
The 150-foot-by-300-foot riding arena is a 45,000-square-foot space just below the house. It was added by the present owner, who has had the property since about 2002. It’s heated and insulated for year-round use, and its rounded sand offers better compaction and less dust.
“The arena is set to competition standards,” Harvey said. “You could do full competitions in the riding arena.”
Supporting facilities reinforce that potential, including a return alley, three stalls, workshop, tack room, storage and pipe pens.
Water and mineral rights are included with this property, which also has substantial timbered terrain, giving the ranch varied topography.
A live creek meanders through the property is the source of irrigation for its hay meadows.
The ranch abuts millions of acres of BLM and national forest land, Harvey said, which means miles of horseback riding or hiking adventures, easily accessible from the ranch.
