High winds on Monday in Wyoming with rain, snow and winter weather advisories in several areas in the afternoon and overnight. Highs from the 30s to the 60s. Lows from the single digits to the mid 20s.

Central:  

Casper:  There’s a high wind warning in effect until 8 p.m. There’s a very slight chance of rain after 5 p.m. today and rain and snow are likely overnight. Otherwise, expect it to be mostly sunny and very windy today with a high near 51 and wind gusts of up to 60 mph. Overnight it should be windy with a low near 19 and wind gusts as high as 49 mph.  

Lander:  There’s a slight chance of rain and snow after 4 p.m. and a chance of rain and snow overnight. Otherwise, it should be sunny and windy today with a high near 46 and wind gusts as high as 50 mph. Overnight it should be breezy and clouds should increase with a low near 15 and wind gusts as high as 37 mph.

Jeffrey City There’s a high wind warning in effect until 8 p.m. There’s a very slight chance of snow after 5 p.m. today and a chance of snow overnight, mainly after 8 p.m. Otherwise, look for it to be sunny and very windy today with a high near 44 and wind gusts as high as 60 mph. Overnight it should be very windy, clouds should increase and the low should be near 19 with wind gusts as high as 55 mph.  

Southwest:  

Evanston There’s a winter storm warning in effect starting at 11 a.m. and ending tomorrow at 5 p.m. Up to 4 or more inches of snow is possible today and overnight. Watch for increasing clouds and breezy conditions today with a chance of snow after 11 a.m., a high near 40 and wind gusts of up to 38 mph. Overnight snow is near certain with areas of blowing snow after 11 p.m. breezy conditions, a low near 13 and wind gusts as high as 44 mph.

Green River:  There’s a chance of rain and snow after 4 p.m. today and snow is likely overnight. Otherwise, expect it to be sunny and windy today with a high near 44 and wind gusts of up to 45 mph. Overnight it should be mostly cloudy and breezy with a low near 20 and wind gusts of up to 30 mph.    

Kemmerer There’s a winter weather advisory in effect until 5 a.m. tomorrow. There’s a chance of snow mainly after 4 p.m. today and snow with patchy blowing snow is likely overnight. Up to around 3 inches of snow is possible. Otherwise, look for clouds to increase today with windy conditions, a high near 40 and wind gusts of up to 45 mph. Overnight it should be windy with a low near 12 and wind gusts as high as 43 mph.

Western Wyoming:  

Pinedale:  There’s a winter weather advisory in effect until 5 a.m. Tuesday. There’s a chance of snow mainly after 4 p.m. today and snow with patchy blowing snow is possible, mainly before 9 p.m. tonight. Otherwise, expect it to be partly sunny and windy today with a high near 38 and wind gusts as high as 41 mph. Overnight it should be mostly cloudy and windy with a low near 11 and wind gusts of up to 43 mph.

Afton:  There’s a winter weather advisory in effect until 5 a.m. Tuesday. Snow, mainly after 3 p.m. with patchy blowing snow, is likely today and overnight. Up to around 2 inches of snow is possible. Otherwise, it should be windy today with a high near 36 and wind gusts as high as 40 mph. Overnight it should be breezy with a low near 12 and wind gusts of up to 31 mph.

La Barge:  There’s a chance of snow, mainly after 5 p.m., today and overnight, mainly before 1 a.m., with patchy blowing snow before 8 p.m. Otherwise, look for it to be mostly sunny and windy today with a high near 38 and wind gusts of up to 45 mph. Overnight it should be mostly cloudy and breezy with a low near 12 and wind gusts of up to 36 mph.

Northwest:  

Dubois:  There’s a chance of snow, mainly after 3 p.m., today with patchy blowing snow and a chance of snow overnight, mainly before 10 p.m., with patchy blowing snow before 9 p.m. Otherwise look for it to be very windy today with increasing clouds, a high near 39 and wind gusts of up to 60 mph. Overnight it should be mostly cloudy and breezy with a low near 14 and wind gusts as high as 36 mph.

Jackson:  There’s a winter weather advisory in effect from 7 a.m. today until tomorrow at 5 a.m. Snow, mainly after 1 p.m., with patchy blowing snow is near certain today and likely overnight, mainly before 11 p.m. with patchy blowing snow before 10 p.m. Up to around 6 inches of snow is possible. Otherwise, expect it to be windy today with a high near 34 and wind gusts of up to 40 mph. It should be mostly cloudy and breezy overnight with a low near 11 and wind gusts as high as 38 mph.

Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park:  There’s a winter storm warning in effect until 5 a.m. Tuesday. It should snow today, mainly after 9 a.m., heavy at times, with widespread blowing snow. Snow, heavy at times, with patchy blowing snow before 9 p.m., is likely overnight. Up to 19 inches of snow is possible. Otherwise, it should be windy today with a high near 31 and wind gusts of up to 47 mph. Overnight it should be breezy with a low near 5 and wind gusts as high as 28 mph.

Bighorn Basin:

Thermopolis There’s a very slight chance of rain after 5 p.m. today and a chance of rain then snow overnight. Otherwise, expect it to be partly sunny and windy today with a high near 57 and wind gusts of up to 38 mph. Overnight clouds should increase and it should be breezy with a low near 14 and wind gusts as high as 26 mph

Cody:  There’s a high wind warning in effect until 8 p.m. with wind gusts as high as 55 mph today and 43 mph overnight. There’s also a winter weather advisory in effect from 5 p.m. today until 8 a.m. tomorrow. There’s a chance of rain and snow, mainly after 5 p.m. today and snow is likely overnight, mainly between 7 p.m. and midnight with patchy blowing snow before 4 a.m. Up to around 3 inches of snow is possible. Look for it to be very windy and become sunny in the afternoon with a high near 49 today and be mostly cloudy and windy overnight with a low near 6.

Greybull:  There’s a chance of rain after 3 p.m. today and a chance of rain then snow overnight. Otherwise, it should be mostly cloudy and breezy today with a high near 58 and wind gusts as high as 31 mph. Overnight it should be mostly cloudy and blustery with a low near 12 and wind gusts as high as 33 mph.

Buffalo:  There’s a winter storm warning in effect from 5 p.m. today until 8 a.m. tomorrow. There’s a chance of rain, mainly after 5 p.m. today and a chance of rain then snow overnight. Snow could be heavy at times with patchy blowing snow overnight. Up to around 5 inches of snow is possible. Otherwise, it should be partly sunny and windy today with a high near 53 and wind gusts as high as 39 mph. Overnight it should be windy with a low near 9 and wind gusts as high as 39 mph.

Sheridan:  There’s a high wind warning in effect until 9 a.m. and a winter storm warning in effect from 5 p.m. today until 5 p.m. tomorrow. There’s a chance of rain, mainly after 5 p.m. today and rain then snow, heavy at times with patchy blowing snow, is near certain overnight. Up to around 4 inches of snow is possible. Otherwise, the high should be near 60 today with winds from 13-18 mph. Overnight the low should be near 7 with winds from 11-17 mph.

Newcastle:  There’s a red flag fire warning in effect from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. today. Look for it to be mostly sunny and breezy today with a high near 58 and wind gusts of up to 34 mph. Overnight snow is likely after 11 p.m. with increasing clouds, a low near 14 and wind gusts as high as 25 mph.

Moorcroft:  Expect it to be partly sunny and breezy today with a high near 60 and wind gusts of up to 36 mph. Overnight it should be blustery with snow, mainly after 11 p.m., near certain, a low near 7 and wind gusts of up to 30 mph.
