Hello, it’s me.

Todd Rundgren (1972) and Adele (2015) both wrote songs that started that way.

This is by no means about music. Far from it and lucky for you.

My musical tastes run to trashy rap, 70’s Motown and Chris LeDoux and Chancey Williams. Throw in a little Wanted: Dead or Alive blaring through War Memorial Stadium and that’s it.

So after I opined last week about what Craig Bohl means to Wyoming, someone thought perhaps I should write again.

Perhaps I should.

My life these days is very different from that when I commuted 54 miles round trip five days a week.

To say I live a life of leisure is an understatement.

My partner drives a school bus four days a week and takes as many activities trips as he can. He says its to keep me from spending his money.

Football season is our go time, and I must admit that three weeks in a row to Laramie was a big ask, even for us.

So I am pretty much home these days, getting ready for Christmas and praying the packages all arrive.

I see the post office had big announcements this week about future service in this frontier land.

Having read recently of Jackson’s woes, I can add our tiny berg to the list, where our 210-student high school is forced to play Class 3A in sports but there is ZERO home mail delivery.

I look forward to chatting with you weekly. Perhaps I will be able to sneak in a couple of more words about things I couldn’t at the other place.

Stay tuned.

In the meantime, keep your holiday stress in check and your wine glass full.
