It’s Thursday, July 20, 2023 and we should see temperatures go down and rain chances go up today and tomorrow, especially east of the continental divide. Thunderstorm activity should be more scattered tomorrow, but temperatures should still be a little cooler than average. Temperatures should go back up some over the weekend.

It’s Thursday, July 20, 2023 and we should see temperatures go down and rain chances go up today and tomorrow, especially east of the continental divide.  Thunderstorm activity should be more scattered tomorrow, but temperatures should still be a little cooler than average.  Temperatures should go back up some over the weekend.  

Central:   

Casper:  There’s a chance of rain today and tonight before 9 p.m., otherwise it should be partly sunny today with a high near 77 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 55. 

Riverton:  There’s a slight chance of showers after 4 p.m., otherwise it should be mostly cloudy, gradually becoming sunny with a high today near 84 and mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 53. Winds could gust to 21 mph during the day. 

Glenrock:  Showers are likely during the day and there’s a slight chance of rain before midnight tonight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain.  Otherwise, it should be mostly cloudy today with a high near 75 and partly cloudy overnight with a low near 53. 

Southwest:   

Evanston There’s a chance of showers after noon, otherwise it should be mostly sunny today with a high near 79 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 47. 

Rock Springs:  There’s a slight chance of isolated showers before 9 a.m., otherwise it should be mostly cloudy, becoming sunny today with a high near 82 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 53. Winds could gust to 20 mph overnight. 

Lyman There’s a chance of showers today, otherwise it should be mostly sunny with a high near 82 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 51. 

Western Wyoming:   

Pinedale:  There’s a chance of showers mainly between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., otherwise it should be mostly cloudy and breezy, becoming sunny today with a high near 76 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 48. Winds could gust to 23 mph during the day. 

Alpine:  There’s a slight chance of showers mainly between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., otherwise it should be sunny today with a high near 84 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 51.   

Big Piney:  There’s a chance of showers mainly between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., otherwise it should be mostly cloudy, becoming sunny today with a high near 78 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 44. Winds could gust to 21 mph during the day and 23 mph overnight. 

Northwest:   

Dubois:  There’s a chance of showers mainly between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., otherwise it should be mostly cloudy, becoming sunny today with a high near 76 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 49. Winds could gust to 21 mph during the day and 20 mph overnight. 

Jackson:  There’s a slight chance of showers mainly between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., otherwise it should be partly sunny, becoming sunny today with a high near 83 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 45. Winds could gust to 21 mph during the day. 

Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park:  There’s a slight chance of showers mainly between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., otherwise it should be sunny today with a high near 76 and partly cloudy overnight with a low near 44.  

Bighorn Basin:   

Thermopolis There’s a chance of showers mainly between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., otherwise it should be mostly cloudy, becoming sunny today with a high near 85 and mostly cloudy in the evening, then clearing overnight with a low near 55. Winds could gust to 20 mph overnight. 

Cody: There’s a chance of showers mainly between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m., otherwise it should be mostly cloudy, becoming sunny today with a high near 79 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 57.  

Worland:  There’s a chance of showers mainly between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., otherwise it should be mostly cloudy, becoming sunny today with a high near 85 and mostly cloudy and breezy, becoming clear overnight with a low near 54.  Winds could blow from 6-16 mph overnight.   

North Central:   

Buffalo:   There’s a slight chance of showers mainly between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m., otherwise it should be mostly cloudy, becoming sunny today with a high near 77 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 57. 

Sheridan:   It should be mostly sunny today with a high near 85 and mostly clear overnight with a low around 54.  

Big Horn:  There’s a slight chance of showers after 4 p.m. today and before midnight tonight, otherwise it should be mostly cloudy, becoming sunny today with a high near 84 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 57.  

Northeast:   

Gillette Look for it to be mostly cloudy, gradually becoming sunny today with a high near 77 and partly cloudy overnight with a low near 56.  There is a slight chance of showers before midnight and winds could gust to 18 mph overnight. 

Newcastle:  There’s a slight chance of showers after noon and before midnight, otherwise it should be mostly cloudy today with a high near 75 and partly cloudy overnight with a low around 53. 

Upton:  There’s a slight chance of showers after noon and before midnight, otherwise it should be mostly cloudy today with a high near 78 and partly cloudy overnight with a low around 53.  Winds could gust as high as 15 mph overnight. 

Eastern Plains:   

Torrington:  Showers are likely during the day and possible before midnight tonight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain.  The high is expected to be near 70 today and it should be partly cloudy overnight with a low near 53.  

Douglas:   There’s a good chance of showers during the day and a slight chance before midnight tonight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain.  Otherwise, it should be mostly cloudy today with a high near 72 and partly cloudy overnight with a low near 52. 

Kaycee:   There’s a chance of showers after noon and before 8 p.m., otherwise it should be mostly cloudy, becoming sunny today with a high near 79 and mostly clear overnight with a low around 56. 

Southeast:   

Cheyenne:  Expect rain today and possibly showers before midnight tonight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain.  The high today should be near 68 and it should be partly cloudy overnight with a low near 52.
