It’s Thursday, June 1, 2023 – and rain is expected to increase over Wyoming today.

Showers are expected to first develop over the southern part of the state and then move northward during the late morning hours. 

Rain is expected to linger into Friday and Saturday with below normal temperatures. 

Central: 

Casper:  Showers and thunderstorms are likely Thursday.  It should be breezy with a high near 70.  Overnight expect showers to continue under mostly cloudy skies.  The low should be near 52. 

Lander:  It should be mostly cloudy Thursday with showers likely.  Winds could gust as high as 21 mph with a high near 66.  Showers are likely overnight with winds similar to those during the day.  The low is expected to be around 48. 

Shoshoni:  Showers are likely Thursday under mostly cloudy skies.  Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.  The high is expected to reach about 74.  Mostly cloudy skies and showers continue overnight with a low near 50. 

Southwest: 

EvanstonThere’s a chance of showers Thursday with that chance increasing in the afternoon.  It should be partly sunny with winds 5-11 mph and a high near 67.  Overnight there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after midnight.  It should be mostly cloudy with a low of around 43. 

Green River:  It should be mostly cloudy Thursday with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms.  Winds should be light and the high near 69.  It should be mostly cloudy overnight with light and variable winds and scattered showers.  The low is expected to be near 47. 

KemmererShowers are likely Thursday under partly cloudy skies.  Winds could gust as high as 20 mph and the high is expected to be about 67.  Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms overnight and wind conditions similar to those during the day.  The low should be around 43. 

Western Wyoming: 

Pinedale:  Showers are likely Thursday under mostly cloudy skies with winds 6-13 mph.  The high is expected to reach 63.  Overnight expect scattered showers and thunderstorms and the same wind conditions as during the day.  The low should be around 40. 

Alpine:  Showers are likely in the afternoon Thursday.  It should be partly sunny with light winds and a high near 71.  It should be mostly cloudy overnight with scattered showers and thunderstorms and a low near 45. 

La Barge:  Expect showers and possibly thunderstorms Thursday.  The high should be near 67 and winds 6-13 mph.  It should be mostly cloudy overnight with scattered showers and thunderstorms and a low near 41. 

Northwest: 

Dubois:  Showers are likely Thursday with light and variable winds. The high should be near 65. It should be mostly cloudy overnight with showers likely and a low near 43. 

Jackson: Afternoon showers are likely Thursday under mostly cloudy skies.  The high is expected to reach 71.  It should be mostly cloudy overnight with scattered showers and thunderstorms and a low near 40.  Winds are expected to be from 5-9 mph both during the day and night. 

Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park:  Showers are likely Thursday with snow in the higher elevations.  Winds are expected to be light and variable and the high should be about 64.  Mostly cloudy overnight with showers likely and a low near 37. 

Bighorn Basin: 

ThermopolisShowers are likely and possibly a thunderstorm Thursday.  It’s expected to be mostly cloudy with light winds and a high near 72.  Overnight showers are likely under mostly cloudy skies.  The low should be about 51.  Winds are expected to be from 7-10 mph. 

Cody: Thursday it’s expected to be breezy with showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm.  The high should be near 71.  Showers and thunderstorms continue overnight.  The low is expected to be near 52. 

Lovell:  Expect some showers and possibly thunderstorms Thursday.  It should be mostly cloudy and breezy with a high near 78.  Expect much the same overnight with showers and thunderstorms likely under mostly cloudy skies, breezy and a low near 54.

North Central: 

Buffalo: Skies should be mostly cloudy Thursday and are likely to produce some showers and thunderstorms.  Winds are estimated to be between 6-13 mph and the high near 69.  Showers and thunderstorms are likely overnight with a low near 51. 

Sheridan: Afternoon showers and possibly thunderstorms are likely Thursday.  Some of the storms could produce heavy rain.  There’s a flood watch beginning in the afternoon and continuing into Friday.  The high is expected to reach 76 Thursday.  Showers and thunderstorms are likely before midnight with some producing heavy rain.  Patchy fog is expected after 9 p.m. with a low near 51. 

Dayton:  Showers and maybe some storms that could produce heavy rain are expected Thursday.  There’s a flood watch starting Thursday afternoon that goes into Friday night.  The high Thursday is expected to reach 74.  Overnight expect some showers and possibly a thunderstorm.  The low should be near 50 and there should be patchy fog after 9 p.m. 

Northeast: 

GilletteIt should be mostly cloudy Thursday with showers and thunderstorms likely.  Wind gusts could reach as high as 23 mph and the high is expected to be near 72.  It should be mostly cloudy overnight with showers and thunderstorms likely before 3 a.m.  Expect a low of around 50. 

Newcastle:  Showers and thunderstorms are likely Thursday with increasing clouds.  Wind gusts could reach 26 mph.  The high is expected to be near 75.  Overnight it should be mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely.  Winds similar to those during the day.  The low is expected to be near 54. 

Hulett:  The high Thursday is expected to be around 77 with increasing clouds and showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm.  Winds could gust to 17 mph.  Overnight it should be cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely before 8 p.m.  Wind conditions expected to be similar to those during the day and the low should be about 52. 

Eastern Plains: 

Torrington:  Showers and possibly a thunderstorm are likely Thursday.  Expect patchy fog before 10 a.m. otherwise it should be partly sunny with a high near 76.  Winds should be between 10-15 mph in the afternoon.  Showers and thunderstorms are likely overnight under mostly cloudy skies.  The low should be near 52. 

Wheatland:  Showers and possibly a thunderstorm are likely Thursday.  Winds should be between 5-15 mph and the high near 73.  It should be mostly cloudy overnight with a chance of showers of thunderstorms and a low near 52. 

Wright:  Showers and possibly a thunderstorm are likely Thursday with wind gusts up to 25 mph.  The high is expected to be near 70.  It should be mostly cloudy overnight with winds similar to those during the day.  Showers and thunderstorms are likely mainly before 8 p.m.  The low is expected to be near 48. 

Southeast: 

Cheyenne:   Patchy fog is expected before 8 a.m. with a good chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day Thursday.  Winds are expected to be between 5-15 mph and a high near 70.  Overnight showers and thunderstorms are likely with mostly cloudy skies and a low near 47. 

Laramie:  Showers and thunderstorms are likely Thursday.  Winds are expected to be between 5-15 mph and the high temperature should be around 67.  Chances are good there will be showers and possibly a thunderstorm overnight.  Winds should be similar to those during the day and the low is expected to be near 44. 

Pine Bluffs:  Expect patchy fog before 10 a.m. Thursday, otherwise partly sunny with a high near 74.  Showers and possibly an afternoon thunderstorm are likely.  Winds should be between 5-15 mph.  Showers and thunderstorms are likely overnight under mostly cloudy skies.  The low is expected to be near 50. 

South Central: 

Rawlins:  Showers and possibly thunderstorms are expected Thursday with some producing heavy rain.  Winds should be between 5-15 mph and the high near 63.  It should be mostly cloudy overnight with the possibility of storms producing heavy rain.  The low is expected to be around 46. 

Saratoga:  There’s a good chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday with some producing heavy rain.  Winds are expected to be between 5-10 mph and the high near 64.  Overnight expect it to be mostly cloudy with a low near 43 and there’s still a chance of showers and thunderstorms, some producing heavy rain. 

Wamsutter:  It should be mostly cloudy Thursday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.  The high is expected to be near 63 with winds from 7-13 mph.  Overnight could bring scattered showers and thunderstorms and a low near 45.
