UPDATE: Video of Josh Allen’s Dad singing National Anthem

Former University of Wyoming quarterback and current NFL superstar Josh Allen won’t be at the Cowboys game at War Memorial Stadium on Friday evening but his Dad will.

Joel Allen will be singing the National Anthem at Friday’s football game against the Air Force Academy.

The home game is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m. Mountain Time so, if custom holds, Mr. Allen will be singing shortly before kick-off.

Outside of this information, little is known.

The university didn’t announce the singing performance until Thursday evening and its social media post provided scant details outside of “Live National Anthem. Special Cowboy Kickoff. Performed by Joel Allen (Father of Josh Allen). Wyoming vs Air Force.”

Can Mr. Allen sing?

Maybe not as well as his son can play football, but he sounds pretty good.

Joel was caught on video singing Billy Joel’s ‘Piano Man’ at a bar somewhere and not only does he have good stage presence but he sings on key. And he can hit the high notes.

Judge for yourself…
