The highest gasoline price in Wyoming on Friday was in Moose, near Jackson, at $5.79 per gallon. The lowest price of gasoline was $4.24 per gallon in Laramie.

The price of gasoline in Wyoming declined by 1 cent per gallon on Friday over the previous 24 hours to average $4.82 per gallon.

The website GasBuddy.com, which tracks national gas prices, reported Wyoming’s average gas price is down 5 cents from one week and is up by $1.48 per gallon from one year ago.

Wyoming’s average price for gasoline remained above the national average of $4.71 for a gallon of regular.

High and Low Prices:

The highest gasoline price in Wyoming on Friday was fouond in Moose, near Jackson at $5.79 per gallon.

The station with the highest price in the state on Thursday, in $6.69 in Teton Village, was not reporting its prices to GasBuddy.com on Friday.

The lowest price in the state was $4.24 per gallon at Laramie’s Tumbleweed Express at 4700 Bluebird Lane.

The county with the highest average price was Teton at $5.33 per gallon. The county with the lowest average was Natrona County, at $4.62. These are the highest and lowest reported prices among those stationed surveyed.

Tim’s Observations:

The state’s average price per gallon dropped slightly, yet the price in some counties climbed upward. Teton County’s average was up 8 cents per gallon. Albany County was up 13 cents per gallon, while Converse dropped 14 cents per gallon. 

To give some perspective on pump prices, here are some figures from GasBuddy, going back to 2008.

Highest Recorded Average: 07/03/22    $4.87

Lowest Recorded Average:  12/29/08    $1.40

Highest Average This Year:  07/03/22    $4.87

Lowest Average This Year:   01/01/22    $3.24

It would be nice to go back to 2008 when you could fill your tank for less than $20!
