On Tuesday, June 7, 2022, prices remained mostly steady around the state, yet over the previous 24 hours, Wyoming’s average gasoline price per gallon remained steady from yesterday, up 2.4 cents with an average of $4.59.
The website GasBuddy.com, which tracks national gas prices, reported Wyoming’s average gas price is up 24 cents per gallon, over a week ago, and is up, $1.52 per gallon from one year ago.
Wyoming’s average price for gasoline remained below the national average of $4.94 for a gallon of regular. Up 1.5 cents per gallon from yesterday.
High and Low Prices:
The highest gasoline price/s in Wyoming on Tuesday were in Jackson Wyoming for the high, with $5.49 per gallon, and the lowest surveyed price is the The Corner Shop, $3.99 per gallon in Cheyenne, posting $4.18 per gallon. The highest county average is in Teton County, with an average of $4.98 per gallon. The county with the lowest average, is in Albany and Converse counties, with $4.31. These are the highest and lowest reported prices among those stationed surveyed.

Cheyenne down 35 cents per gallon, Evanston up 10 cents, Gillette up 21 cents; Laramie down 11 cents, Pinedale up 7 cents; Sundance up 45 cents, Worland up 16 cents.

Tim’s Observations:
Gas prices continue to break records all over the state and across the country, but as I look at prices, there are anomalies in the reported prices that you might find hard to understand.
Quite frankly, they have me scratching my head as well. Looking at the western counties in Wyoming, we often see counties like Lincoln and Uinta shift up or down 20 cents or more daily.
I’m trying to find out what causes this broad, quick price change, but as of yet, there’s no logical explanation.
On the other end of the spectrum, while we have had lowest price in Wyoming hover around $4.14, today we saw a $3.99 price reported in Cheyenne. My take away today? It’s a strange market out there, but with a little searching, you can avoid the anomalies too, and right now, every penny per gallon lower helps.
