Today’s Wyoming sunrise called “Sunrise Moonset at Noon Rocks” was taken by Bruce S. Thompson who lives six miles east of Dubois.
Bruce writes: “Noon Rocks is a prominent skyline feature in the foothills above the town of Dubois, WY. At certain times of the year, as the full moon begins to set in the southwest, the sun rises in the northeast, creating a golden glow on the Noon Rock feature.”
“I like the synchrony of a full moon setting, next to a rock named for midday noon, as the sun is just beginning to rise.”
