A five-year member of Wyoming’s House of Representatives died Monday, Gov. Mark Gordon’s office announced.
Gordon’s office said Rep. Roy Edwards, R-Gillette, died Monday. No cause of death was offered.
Gordon ordered the Wyoming state flag at the Capitol in Cheyenne and in Campbell County to be flown at half-staff in honor of Edwards, who had served in the House since 2015.
Gordon, 66, was unopposed in bid for a third term in the House.
He was a member of the House Corporations and Political Subdivisions Committee and the House Travel, Recreation, Wildlife and Cultural Resources Commmittee.
The Gillette native was the owner of Edwards Tire Company.
